Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Senddfile. By using the service, you agree to them. Senddfile is a free, peer-to-peer file transfer tool, provided as-is.

The service

Senddfile lets two people transfer a file directly between their browsers using WebRTC. We don't host or store the file: it travels straight from the sender to the receiver. We only provide the temporary signaling that helps the two browsers find each other.

Nature of the transfer

Because the transfer is peer-to-peer and nothing is stored, both sides must be online at the same time, and a transfer can't be resumed after a tab is closed. We can't recover, re-send, or retrieve a file once a transfer ends or fails.

Acceptable use

You are solely responsible for the files you transfer and must have the right to share them. You agree not to use Senddfile for anything unlawful or to transmit content that infringes others' rights or that you are not allowed to distribute. Since we never see the file content, moderation isn't possible — responsibility rests entirely with the people transferring.

  • Don't use the service for illegal content or activity.
  • Don't transfer files you don't have the right to share.
  • Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or disrupt the signaling infrastructure.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that every transfer will succeed — some networks block direct peer-to-peer connections, and the MVP uses only public STUN servers (no TURN relay), so transfers can fail in restrictive environments.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Senddfile and Omtrix are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service — including failed transfers, lost files, or the content exchanged between users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The date below reflects the latest revision.
